Abstract Composite filaments are getting increased attention in additive manufacturing (AM). More and better solutions for filament production needed to assist researchers discovering new materials capable of producing AM-made high-performance parts. This article presents a method composite filament, including an open-source, low-cost automatic feeder designed increase the accuracy quality filament. The includes fibre screw through iterative prototyping process accurately control filament's percentage while reducing lumps' occurrence single step. An experiment evaluating made Polylactic Acid (PLA) carbon (CF) tested use compared manual mixing. Filament with nominal diameter 2.85mm 4.5%, 7.9%, 11.2% 14.5% CF was made. results suggest that improved quality. RMSE value reduced from 0.08 0.06 0.15 0.13 both 4.5% 11.2%, respectively. concludes design may help develop discover improving
